The first and unique entity of its type in Italy, APRE – Agency for the Promotion of European Research, operates in close collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Research with the objective of supporting and promoting Italian participation in the European Union research and innovation (R&I) programmes, by providing information, training and assistance services.

APRE’s network is composed by the most important Italian entities representing the public and private sector, directly or indirectly active in the research and innovation field. They are, at the same time, an active and valuable asset for APRE and the main beneficiaries of APRE’s activities.

APRE hosts all NCPs for Horizon 2020 in Italy, offering, free of charge, assistance and information services related to the participation in EU Framework Programmes for R&I. The Italian NCPs work in close collaboration with NCPs in other 130 countries across thematic areas and international networks.
