The Agricultural University of Plovdiv (AUP) was established in 1945 as a national centre for agricultural science and education in Bulgaria. The AUP is the leading institution in proving competences in agricultural business, science and education as the only specialized state-funded university in Bulgaria.
For the last five years, it is a National leader in the area of Crop Science, Plant Protection and Animal Science according to the Rating System of the Higher Educational Institutions of the Republic of Bulgaria, announced annually.
In 2019 the Agricultural University of Plovdiv was granted an institutional accreditation with a grade of 9.61 on the ten-point scale, which places our educational institution among the top three universities in Bulgaria.
