AIDS Action Europe is a regional network of a diverse group of 200 NGOs, national networks and
community-based groups, most of which are AIDS service organisations, in 48 countries spanning the
WHO/Europe Region. Membership is free and open to all civil society entities (non-governmental organisations, national networks, community-based/-led groups etc.) operating on local or national level, are based in one of the 53
countries of the Region, and are active in the field of HIV and AIDS, and/or TB, and/or viral hepatitis. Our mission is to strengthen civil society to work towards a more effective response to the HIV and AIDS, TB and viral hepatitis epidemics in Europe and Central Asia. We are striving for the best standards of human rights protection and universal access to prevention, treatment, care and support, tackling health inequalities and focusing on key affected populations.
