Founded in 1987, ARTICLE 19 is an international organization defending freedom of expression and information around the world. We work for a world where all people everywhere can freely express themselves and actively engage in public life without fear of discrimination. ARTICLE 19 works on five interacting areas: civic space, digital, media, protection, and transparency, all of which are underpinned by a focus on equality, and our local to global theory of change.
