Brainport Development (BPD) is the economic development agency for the Brainport Eindhoven region - the metropolitan area surrounding the city of Eindhoven. BPD is governed by a Triple Helix board but acts as an independent organisation. BPD operates at both the strategic and operational level and is tasked with, amongst other things, the development and implementation of the regions' leading economic strategic agenda, the Brainport Agenda. Furthermore, BPD is the orchestrator of the Brainport Eindhoven innovation ecosystem, organising and coordinating the Triple Helix collaboration to bring the Brainport Agenda into fruition. The Brainport Agenda consitutes the working areas of BPD, namely;
1) Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship;
2) Talent: the fuel for the technological engine, and;
3) Living environment and business climate.
