- To promote the diffusion of knowledge, principles and practices of organic agriculture and production as set out in the IFOAM Principles and Norms across language and cultural barriers, primarily within the EU, both among IFOAM EU affiliates, and to public authorities and the general public.
-To assist in the co-ordination of, and where appropriate to represent, IFOAM affiliates in EU Countries within the EU and elsewhere at all levels.
- Where appropriate, to co-ordinate and represent IFOAM affiliates in EU Countries within IFOAM and elsewhere.
-To enable the exchange of information on organic agriculture and production in and between EU Countries and with other bodies elsewhere.
- To facilitate the co-ordination of research, knowledge transfer and education in organic production throughout the EU.
- To work towards the establishment of common policies within the EU Group in relation to all the above.
- To manage the affairs of the EU Group consistent with the rules of IFOAM
