The Swedish Forest Industries Federation is the organisation for Swedish pulp, paper and woodworking industries. The Swedish Wood department and the secretariat for BioInnovation and Mistra Digital Forests are also parts of the Federation.
The Swedish Forest Industries Federation represents some fifty pulp and paper manufacturers owned by some twenty groups of companies and about 120 wood mechanical companies owned by some 60 companies, as well as about 40 companies that have close ties with the production of pulp and paper or sawn timber manufacture.
The Swedish forest-based sector employs 120 000 people directly as employees or as sub-contractors. The export value is SEK 184 billion (2023).
