Since it’s inception in 1936 the WJC - the ‘Diplomatic Arm of the Jewish People’ - has been active in countless campaigns: advocating for justice for Holocaust victims and their heirs and protecting the memory of the Holocaust; combating antisemitism and all forms of racism and discrimination, raising public awareness to the dangers in incitement to religious, racial, or ethnic intolerance, oppression or persecution; fostering inter-faith dialogue; supporting the State of Israel; and promoting gender equality, diversity & inclusiveness and the involvement of younger Jews in communal leadership. WJC encourages and assists the development of Jewish social, religious, and cultural life, and supports Jewish education and the development of Jewish values to ensure Jewish continuity and the transmission of Jewish legacy from one generation to another. WJC strives to cooperate with governments, nations, organizations, and individuals, in the spirit of peace, freedom, equality and justice.
